Fredrik Lavik er en norsk DJ, plateentusiast og produsent som for tiden bor i Finland. Han er kjent for sin dype lidenskap for sjelden jazz og østafrikansk musikk fra 1970- og 1980-tallet.

Lavik er grunnleggeren av Afro7 Records, et plateselskap dedikert til å oppdage og gjenutgi obskure låter fra Øst-Afrika, inkludert land som Somalia, Uganda, Sudan, Kenya og Burundi. Som DJ er Fredrik fast å finne på FLOW festivalen i Helsinki, samt andre opptredener i inn og utland.

I tillegg til Afro7 driver Lavik også Jazzaggression Records, som fokuserer på sjeldne jazzutgivelser. Hans arbeid har hatt stor betydning for bevaringen og den globale anerkjennelsen av disse musikksjangrene.

Fredrik Lavik is a Norwegian DJ, vinyl enthusiast, and producer currently living in Finland. He is known for his deep passion for rare jazz and East African music from the 1970s and 1980s.

Lavik is the founder of Afro7 Records, a record label dedicated to discovering and reissuing obscure tracks from East Africa, including countries like Somalia, Uganda, Sudan, Kenya, and Burundi.

As a DJ, Fredrik is a regular presence at the FLOW Festival in Helsinki, as well as other performances both in Finland and internationally.

In addition to Afro7, Lavik also runs Jazzaggression Records, which focuses on rare jazz releases. His work has had a significant impact on the preservation and global recognition of these music genres.
