In the wonderful, incredible world of fish, there is a wonderful, incredible space. The cleaning station. Fish of all shapes, colours, species (not sharks, they’re bastards) and sizes (well, not whales, that’s just silly. And they’re not fish) and even religions can come together in perfect harmony to clean themselves and each other, without fear of being eaten or maimed, using state-of-the-art, technology-driven cleaning products for their skin and hair. The human equivalent of that place is the Obscure Perversions event at MIR, 69 Toftes Gate, Oslo. Every month - usually around the first or second Friday of the month, although sometimes the third or the 4th. Only very occasionally the 5th, because there aren’t very many of those, as you know. But there are some. Oh yes, there are. People of all shapes, colours, species and sizes and even religions can come together in perfect harmony to clean themselves and each other, without fear of being eaten or maimed, using state-of-the-art, technology-driven cleaning products for their skin and hair. And if you are (still) reading this, that’s probably you. That’s what this night is all about: diversity: celebrating the freakish things you can do in the city, but would be hung for in the countryside: an experimental film, a comedian, some underwater soot-juggling, perhaps. More underwater stuff? Well, yes, possibly. Bring an umbrella, just in case.

Breadcrumbthief
Denne inkarnasjonen av Breadcrumbthief hadde sitt opphav i ett avsidesliggende studio på søndre sandøy helt tilbake i 2021. Musikken vektlegger sløye rytmer, saftige grooves og en jazzinspirert harmonikk. Alt sammen enkapsulert av en funk rock konstelasjon. Dette underbygger en tematikk der kapitalismens fremmedgjøring står i sterk kontrast til våre oppfatninger og verdier. Prosjektet i sin helhet er et forsøk på å finne tilbake til det som er universelt menneskelig på tvers av kulturelle, filosofiske og økonomiske sperregrenser. Hvordan vår kultur baserer seg på penger og makt, på tross, ja til og med på grunn av vår norske "jantelovs" mentalitet.
